Perhaps the best screen upgrade available for the Nintendo Gameboy DMG-01 with now the Q5 V4 IPS lcd backlight screen, new shell, buttons, speaker and glass screen lens.
This is a new type of backlight modification for the Gameboy which is slightly larger than the stock display filling the whole display area with no borders.
The audio amplifier and speaker offers a clean loud sound and still sounds clear with the volume turned up.
The display is the sharpest yet on the DMG-01 with a brightness and background control dial in place of the contrast wheel. Adjust brightness by moving the dial either up or down and cycle through the colour pallet and background by pressing the dial.
The V4 version includes an OSD menu accessed by pressing the dial button in with additional options to adjust vertical/horizontal picture position, colour pallet, pixel scan lines and turning the battery indicator on/off.
The changeable colour pallets are yellow or blue on the white back light including six different background colours, red, green , blue, yellow, purple and white.
This is a really impressive version of the classic Gameboy and one you will hopefully be happy to own.
